Het Technasium is looking for company assignments in the Weert region

Technasium The College Weert is looking for companies with a question around:

  1. Residual waste: coming up with new applications for their residual stream;
  2. Design to Recycle: a different way of producing and using sustainable raw materials.

For a high school student, company visits and real-life clients are essential added value. That's why they choose the Technasium. Hot topic for every company is everything that has to do with sustainability. Think for example of recycling, upcycling and circularity. The Technasium likes to involve the students in this at an early stage. Hence this warm appeal to companies with a circular challenge.

Together we can make the students even more aware and let them experience in real life what circularity means in practice. Moreover, as a company you will be surprised by the fresh and unbiased view on things. And you put yourself on the map with young talent. Also not unimportant in these times!

Specifically, the call

We are looking for companies (or a business park) that want to engage 4 VWO students in their challenge of the future from the end of November to the beginning of February! Time investment: 4x 1 hour.

    About the Technasium

    At Het College Weert pupils can follow the subject Research and Design from year 1 onwards. This subject falls under the Technasium Foundation. The purpose of the subject is twofold:
    • Investigate: looking at what you need to know, a desktop research or an investigation in the workplace, nature, society.
    • Design: making creative ideas come to life. From 2D/3D models to scale models and creating concepts or working prototypes.

    Our students enjoy taking on the challenge. This way they learn to think creatively and out of the box. In addition, we want to introduce students to the STEM world and the society around them. We do this by looking for clients, companies and experts within colleges and universities. Not only to learn from, but also to let the students contribute directly to the needs of our society.
