On April 10, Ambitionus MKB046 was launched, an initiative aimed at supporting SME growth and innovation in the 046 region. The program has attracted a large group of partners: municipality of Sittard-Geleen, municipality of Stein, municipality of Beek, Rabobank, LIOF, BSG and Stadslabs Sittard Geleen.
"There is a lot on offer in the market for SMEs. By presenting itself with the same face, Ambitieus MKB046 acts as a central point of contact for SMEs in the Westelijke Mijnstreek," says program director Marcel Stukker.

Five key themes
Ambitious SME046 is a further development of the SME Green Deal. This goes beyond green. Hence the choice of a new program. "Ambitious MKB046 focuses on five core themes: business model, sustainability, circularity, digitalization and personnel," Stukker explains. "We offer a holistic approach where you can work in a demand-driven way. As a member of this community, you have access to a dynamic network in which you can stay abreast of developments and programs."

Boost, Build, Connect & Support
One of the core components of Ambitious SME046 is the "Ambitious SME046 canvas." This framework places the SME at the center and offers support in four steps: Boost, Build, Connect and Support. "We help companies gain knowledge and build networks, as well as facilitate implementation," Stukker said.

For and with ambitious SMEs
.Ambitious SME046 is all about cooperation. Strong together: that's its strength. "We believe in sharing knowledge, experiences and expertise to realize the ambitions of SMEs," says Stukker. "Many of our participants are specialists within their field. Whether they specialize in data analytics, work processes or cyber security, we actively involve these expert companies in our program."
Win-win situation
One way to do that, for example, is through implementation vouchers. These allow companies to access the expertise of knowledge partners to implement innovations. The result is a win-win situation: SMEs get the support they need to grow and innovate, while partners have the opportunity to offer their knowledge and services to a wide range of entrepreneurs.
Stukker: "Often these companies are so enthusiastic about the opportunities it offers that they grow into ambassadors. They share their experiences with others and thus contribute to increasing awareness of Ambitious SME046. This not only strengthens our community, but also creates new opportunities for growth and innovation within SMEs."
Game rules
.An important aspect of Ambitious MKB046 is the focus on the participating companies themselves. "To call yourself ambitious, you obviously have to meet some ground rules," says Stukker. "It's mainly in a positive entrepreneurial spirit, flexibility and transparency. Only by being willing to change and open to new ideas can SMEs become truly ambitious," he adds.
