As a follow-up to the highly successful Education Technology Day on October 7, 2024, the JobXperience days will take place this February. These days are an initiative of regional organizations such as Keyport and Sterk Techniek Onderwijs and are organized in cooperation with school organizations such as SOML, YUVERTA and the LVO.

On February 10, 13, 18, 21 and 25, companies in the Roermond and Weert region will open their doors to eager to learn students. A total of about 12 companies are participating in this job presentation. In the first edition, the emphasis was on technical companies. In this second edition, the orientation is much broader and companies such as a municipality and a hospital are also participating.

The purpose of the JobXperience days is to give students a glimpse of real-life situations at companies in their own region. They can discover what training and jobs are available, what duties and responsibilities employees have, and whether there are opportunities for advancement. For many students, choosing a suitable further education is quite a challenge. By giving them a realistic picture of work practice, we hope to support them in this. Students and companies who experienced the first edition reacted enthusiastically; some students even expressed their desire to work for the visited company!

Companies such as Smurfit Westrock, Sekisui, the Clement Group, Re-Color, Unibelt, Admesy, DSV Venlo and WBM Staalservice are participating in this February edition. The companies are guided by the schools in organizing the company visits. This allows the students to gain different experiences from practical assignments.
