Applications for Circular Awards 2023 open

Also in 2023, Duurzaam Ondernemen is again looking for innovative projects, products and services from companies and governments that capture the imagination and show what a circular economy can mean for the Netherlands. In addition, we once again put some individuals in the spotlight who have made a special contribution to the circular transition in the Netherlands. Also this year there are several categories. We list them for you.  

For large(er) companies: Circular Award Business Large

For large SMEs and corporates innovating circularly within their existing business operations. Three finalists, one winner.

For small(er) businesses: Circular Award Business Small

For small SMEs that are innovating circularly within their own operations, or startups that have developed a fully circular business model. Three finalists, one winner.

For (semi-)publics: Circular Award Public

For projects by municipalities, provinces, water boards, the Department of Waterways and Public Works and the National Property Administration, as well as (semi-)public institutions from education and healthcare, as well as public-private partnerships. Three finalists, one winner.

For individuals: Circular Heroes

For people who develop and implement long-term circular initiatives in a particular region, sector or community. They are the pacesetters who pull and pull, connect and take initiative in their immediate environment. These are the people who drive the transition. Three recognitions.

Important dates

Registration for the Circular Awards is open until December 9, 2022. We will announce the shortlist on December 16. On January 25, 2023 is the public announcement of the finalists for the Circular Awards Public and Business (Small & Large). The final and award ceremony will take place during the National Circular Economy Conference (this will be on Monday, February 6, 2023 or Friday, February 10, 2023).
