Farmers and horticulturists can receive subsidies for sustainable investments in their businesses. A total of 14 million euros is available for this purpose. The scheme is open from December 1 to January 31, 2023. The subsidy is part of Investment Scheme POP3+.

The opening is specifically designed to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and synthetic fertilizers and encourage renewable energy production. The scheme takes place under POP3+ conditions. That is, a subsidy rate of 40 percent on the investment is applied. Applications can be submitted through the Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (RVO).
POP stands for Rural Development Program. The POP3+ investment scheme 2022 is a subsidy instrument from the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) to encourage farmers to make sustainable investments in their farms. The money comes partly from Brussels and partly from the Dutch government.
