Provincial Limburg is organizing the MKB Family Business Event on Thursday, Feb. 13, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Fotomuseum aan het Vrijthof. This special event for Limburg family businesses will focus on the themes of "strategic renewal, innovation and sustainability." Important themes for the future of your family business.

About the event

The Province of Limburg attaches great value to family businesses. Because of your close ties with our province, you are at the center of Limburg society and are therefore an important pillar of the Limburg economy. As a family business you are often at the forefront of many developments in the field of innovation and sustainability.

During the MKB Family Business Event, Professor Anita van Gils, herself from a family business, will talk about her research and the many conversations she has had with Limburg family businesses. How do family businesses deal with innovation and sustainability? Where are they doing well and; where are challenges and opportunities?

Subsequently, a number of entrepreneurs from family businesses will share their views on these themes and their experiences with them. During the event there is of course plenty of opportunity for networking.

  • 15:00 to 16:00: Walk-in with flan and coffee. During the walk-in you can visit the exhibition "Between the Sea & the Sky. I highly recommend this exhibition by internationally famous photographer Jimmy Nelson!
  • 16.00 to 16.10: Opening and introduction by Mr. Stephan Satijn, Deputy for Economy, Finance, Operations, and Public Affairs
