Content webinar

Transport by water or rail offers great advantages for transporting almost all goods. It is reliable, cost-effective, efficient as well as producing substantial CO₂ reductions. The question is therefore not whether inland shipping or rail is interesting for you, but how you use it. You will hear more about this during our webinar. Experts and entrepreneurs explain how the switch to water works in practice.

Zelissen Logistics Services on the benefits of inland shipping

Zelissen Logistics Services transports more than 1,000 containers of car parts from the port of Rotterdam to South Limburg every year. Until a few years ago, this was done by truck, now by barge. "Price-wise, barge transport is more interesting for our customer from China," explains director Nick Zelissen. "For ourselves, it is an advantage that we know exactly when the containers arrive. With road transport, that was much harder to predict. Through good agreements with the port terminal Barge Terminal Born, we can better manage our daily unloading traffic." During the webinar, you will hear, among other things, what was the most difficult part of the process from road to water, and what was actually easier than expected. You will also hear about the advantages and disadvantages of transport by ship.
