At this farm, traditional dairy farming has been gradually transformed into a future-proof enterprise that combines biodiversity, food production and economic value.

Various forms of agroforestry have been implemented on the farm, including a food forest and systems that combine trees with arable farming and small-scale livestock farming. There are now around 30,000 trees on the land. Some of the produce is sold directly through the farm’s own shop, allowing the farmer to maintain control over both the supply chain and the price.

True Value

Leuker aligns with Rabobank’s ‘true value’ theme: rewarding entrepreneurs for the social value they create. This includes lower CO₂ emissions, reduced nitrogen levels and greater biodiversity. Rabobank supports this project, together with partners such as the Nationaal Groenfonds, by providing expertise, its network and suitable financing solutions.
