Grant for Flexible Electricity Consumption (Flex-e)

Grant for Flexible Electricity Consumption (Flex-e)

Is your organisation unable to grow or become more sustainable due to grid congestion? Apply for the Flexible Electricity Consumption (Flex-e) grant to make your electricity consumption more flexible.

By using electricity more efficiently, you can make better use of your existing connection. This creates scope for growth or for making your energy use more sustainable within your current energy contract.

Grant for three components

Does your organisation have an electricity supply of more than 3×80 amps? And do you have a contract with a metering company that records your consumption on behalf of the energy supplier and the network operator? If so, you are a large-scale consumer and you can apply for this grant.

You are applying for a grant for one of the three areas listed below.

Flex-e: Flexibility Scan

A grant for businesses and organisations to carry out a flexibility assessment. The assessment provides insight into opportunities for flexible electricity use.

Applications from 6 May 2026 to 15 October 2026 inclusive.

Flex-e: Feasibility study

A grant for businesses and organisations to carry out a feasibility study. This will enable you to investigate which measures for flexible electricity use are technically feasible.

Applications may be submitted from 6 May to 15 October 2026 inclusive.

Flex-e: Flexibility measures

A grant for businesses and organisations to implement and commission flexibility measures. These are measures that enable flexible electricity consumption.

Applications may be submitted from 6 May to 15 October 2026 inclusive.
