LLTB celebrates its 130th anniversary with its annual conference

On Thursday 19 November, during the LLTB Annual Conference at Theater De Oranjerie in Roermond, we will be celebrating 130 years of solidarity, entrepreneurship and advocacy for Limburg’s agricultural and horticultural sectors.

Led by chairperson Esther de Snoo, we will look back on the significance of 130 years of the LLTB, but above all look to the future. What have we achieved as a sector? What does the next generation expect of us? And how do we ensure that Limburg’s agriculture and horticulture continue to hold a strong and valuable place in our province for the next 130 years?

We will be discussing these issues together during the conference. Participants will include LLTB Chair Thijs Rompelberg, Governor Emile Roemer, Provincial Executive Member Jasper Kuntzelaers, Limburg mayors and representatives from the Limburg Water Board, the Limburg Nature and Environment Federation and the LLTB. Our own members will also take centre stage. Young and experienced farmers will engage in dialogue about their entrepreneurship, their future and the value of working together within the LLTB.

A special moment will be the signing of the ‘Agricultural Retention Agreement’, through which various parties will underline their joint commitment to the future of Limburg’s agriculture and horticulture.

Of course, we won’t be celebrating 130 years of the LLTB without music, socialising and a convivial atmosphere. With performances by Guido Dieteren, Emma-Sophie and Wendy Kokkelkoren, Limburg vlaai on arrival, followed by drinks and dinner, there will be plenty of opportunity to meet one another, catch up and forge new connections.
